# Account and plan

Your Fincanva account and your plan are managed in **Settings**, opened from the account menu, one page per job; its **Simulation defaults** page belongs to [Backtesting](/docs/backtesting). In the app these are its pages: touch one.

Account and plan in the app: Profile, Access and security, Notifications, Plan and usage, Payments and invoices, Privacy and data — each is a group below.

## Profile

Your name, the email you sign in with — a new address is confirmed through a link sent to your current one — your language, your theme and how you build strategies.

## Access and security

Your password, [two-factor authentication](/glossary/two-factor-authentication), the Google account you sign in with and the browsers signed in to your account.

- [How to manage your account security settings](/docs/account-and-plan/how-to-manage-your-account-security-settings): You manage how you sign in — your password, two-factor authentication, Google and the browsers signed in to your account — on Settings → Access and security; cookie consent and account deletion are on Settings → Privacy and data.

Key terms: [Two-factor authentication](/glossary/two-factor-authentication), [Passkeys](/glossary/passkeys), [Passwordless sign-in](/glossary/passwordless-sign-in), [Active sessions](/glossary/active-sessions).

[All 6 terms](/glossary?subject=account-and-plan&group=access-and-security)

## Notifications

Where Fincanva's emails arrive, the two kinds you can switch off, and the ones that always arrive.

- [How to manage your notification settings](/docs/account-and-plan/how-to-manage-your-notification-settings): Which emails Fincanva sends you is set on Settings → Notifications: two kinds you switch on or off, and the ones that always arrive because they protect your account or concern your trial.

[All 1 terms](/glossary?subject=account-and-plan&group=notifications)

## Plan and usage

The plan you hold and what it includes; the one 30-day trial of a paid plan every account gets, which starts by itself with no card; what you use against your plan's limits; and what happens to a [strategy](/glossary/strategy) your plan does not cover — it is set aside until it fits again, because a plan change never deletes what you built.

- [What each plan includes](/docs/account-and-plan/what-each-plan-includes): Fincanva's plans — Free, Starter, Advanced and Ultimate — compared table by table, every figure, tick and price read from the source the app enforces and the pricing page prints.
- [The 30-day trial](/docs/account-and-plan/the-30-day-trial): Every Fincanva account gets one 30-day trial of a paid plan that starts by itself — no checkout, no card — and with no card, day 31 puts you on Free and charges nothing.
- [See how much of your plan you use from the sidebar](/docs/account-and-plan/see-how-much-of-your-plan-you-use-from-the-sidebar): The plan tile, in the sidebar above your account, names your plan and keeps the count of the strategies you follow Live in view; pressing it opens the list of them.
- [What Settings → Plan and usage tells you](/docs/account-and-plan/what-settings-plan-and-usage-tells-you): Settings → Plan and usage is where your plan lives: the plan you hold and where it sits among Fincanva's plans, what you use against the limits it really sets, your subscription, and what each plan includes.
- [Bring a set-aside strategy back into your plan](/docs/account-and-plan/bring-a-set-aside-strategy-back-into-your-plan): A strategy your plan does not cover is set aside, never deleted: open it, read which limit it crosses, and either correct its settings or move to a plan that covers it.
- [Create or copy a strategy when your plan is full](/docs/account-and-plan/create-or-copy-a-strategy-when-your-plan-is-full): Fincanva never lets you create beyond your plan: making, duplicating, copying or combining a strategy asks the plan first, and is refused before anything is created when the result would not be covered.
- [How to read your plan](/docs/account-and-plan/how-to-read-your-plan): Your plan lives on Settings → Plan and usage, where Your subscription says in one dated sentence where your subscription stands and carries the actions to change, cancel or restore it.

Key terms: [Plan level](/glossary/plan-level), [Plan compliance](/glossary/plan-compliance), [Compute time](/glossary/compute-time).

[All 4 terms](/glossary?subject=account-and-plan&group=plan-and-usage)

## Payments and invoices

Your payment method, the billing details printed on your invoices, your invoices, and what happens when a payment fails.

- [What happens if a payment fails](/docs/account-and-plan/what-happens-if-a-payment-fails): When a payment fails your access does not stop: Fincanva keeps everything your plan covers while the payment is retried, shows a notice on every page until it clears, and you resolve it by updating your payment method.
- [How to get an invoice with your tax details](/docs/account-and-plan/how-to-get-an-invoice-with-your-tax-details): Tick I need an invoice with my tax details under Tax details on Settings → Payments and invoices and fill in what your address country needs; in Italy the electronic invoice then arrives through the Sistema di Interscambio.

[All 2 terms](/glossary?subject=account-and-plan&group=payments-and-invoices)

## Privacy and data

Cookie consent, the Terms you accept to use Fincanva, and deleting your account.

- [How cookie consent works on Fincanva](/docs/account-and-plan/how-cookie-consent-works-on-fincanva): Fincanva asks for your consent to optional cookies through a banner run by Iubenda, with every optional purpose switched off until you switch it on — the same for every visitor in every country — and you can change your answer at any time.
- [Why Fincanva asks you to accept the Terms](/docs/account-and-plan/why-fincanva-asks-you-to-accept-the-terms): Fincanva creates no account, and lets no account into the app, without a recorded acceptance of the current Terms: you give it by continuing on the sign-in page, whose line under the buttons says so, and again, by ticking a box, only when a new version is published.

Key terms: [Your Privacy Choices and Notice at Collection](/glossary/your-privacy-choices-and-notice-at-collection), [Account deletion](/glossary/account-deletion).

[All 3 terms](/glossary?subject=account-and-plan&group=privacy-and-data)
