How to manage your notification settings
Which emails Fincanva sends you is set on Settings → Notifications: two kinds you switch on or off, and the ones that always arrive because they protect your account or concern your trial.
Steps
- Open Settings, then Notifications. You need to be signed in. The page holds three sections, from top to bottom: Where they arrive, Your choice and Always on.
- Under Your choice, switch Your strategies or Fincanva news on or off. Each switch applies at once — there is no Save button — and a message names what was saved:
Strategy notifications savedorProduct news notifications saved. If saving fails, the switch goes back to what it was, nothing changes, and the message reads "Couldn't save the strategy notifications. Try again." — or "Couldn't save the product news notifications. Try again." for Fincanva news: flip it again. - To change the address they arrive at, select Change in Profile under Where they arrive.
Done. Your choice is saved, and the settings Overview shows the same two choices on its Notifications tile, as On or Off.
Where do my notifications arrive?
At the email address on your profile — notifications arrive only by email, and there is no other channel to set up. Where they arrive reads "Notifications arrive by email today. It's the address on your profile." and shows that address under Email. It cannot be edited here: Change in Profile takes you to Settings → Profile, where a new address is confirmed through a link sent to your current one. Once it changes, notifications follow it.
What can I switch on or off?
Two kinds of email, under Your choice, each with its own switch that applies the moment you flip it:
- Your strategies — "Alerts about the strategies you created or follow live." It is on for a new account.
- Fincanva news — "Occasional emails with product news and promotions. You can opt out anytime." It is marketing, so where it starts depends on when your account was created. A new account is asked once, on its own page of the welcome it walks through after it is created, before the trial page if there is one:
Want to hear from us?, with two choices,Yes, keep me postedandNo, thanks. Neither is picked for you, and the welcome goes on only once you choose one. The account starts with the answer you give there, and with the moment you agreed recorded from Fincanva's own clock; creating the account itself asks nothing about it — see accepting the Terms. An account created while the sign-up screen asked the same question with a box starts with the answer given there. An account that existed before either asked had it switched on by Fincanva in October 2026.
Today Fincanva sends no email in either category, so a switch records your choice and changes nothing you receive today. Either can be switched back whenever you like.
Why can't I turn some notifications off?
Because they protect your account or concern your subscription. Always on lists two kinds, each marked Always on in place of a switch, and shows them rather than hiding them so you know they exist and why they keep arriving:
- Access and security — "Sign-in codes, email verification, password and email changes, account deletion." These are the emails that let you sign in, confirm a change, and learn that a deletion was scheduled or completed — see account deletion.
- Subscription and payments — "Trial-ending reminders." That is the one email Fincanva itself sends about your subscription: the reminder 7 days and 1 day before a trial ends with no card on file — see the 30-day trial.
I still get emails after turning everything off
The emails that keep arriving are the ones under Always on — sign-in codes, verification and change confirmations, account-deletion notices and trial-ending reminders. They cannot be switched off.
